Thursday Thoughts: The fight is on

Does anyone read blogs anymore? I am not sure. However, this my little corner of the world that should you come across it, say hi!  I founded BRAVE in my head two years ago, but it took a year to gather up the courage to talking about it and creating a format to share my rambling thoughts.  I ramble. You will see.

You will quickly find I am not fluffy about my approach to faith, but I also love to laugh. It's a dichotomy of loving life and being keenly aware that we are in one heck of a spiritual battle.

The fight is on. For a time I have wondered how to say things without too much offense because I am a recovering people pleaser.   More on that at a later time. There are two reason for BRAVE (beyond Jesus of course) :  1. The women of the underground church  2.  The exposure of the enemy and his lies.

It took the YouTube series Sheep Among Wolves for me to truly understand the power of women in the underground church and their insanely passionate pursuit if Jesus.  WHY were they willing to risk everything and I was willing to risk so little? 

The enemy is brilliant and he is beautiful.  I am weary of his lies suffocating generations of women.  Through much prayer and contemplation I realized the gift of discernment is not to be kept quiet, but to call out the lies when I see them.  It's time for others to rise up, take courage and act. (Ezra 10:4)  Words have been a powerful tool for centuries, these words here are prayerfully not mine, but HIS.

As an athlete who knows how to persevere, train, face obstacles, surrender my body, fight for championships and leave it all on the line to win a game, surely I am a daughter of Christ who can do the same for a much high purpose.  Less fluff, more fight.
