Any good coach or player evaluates their opponent. If not, we can easily underestimate who we are competing against or be surprised by talent we didn't know they possessed. We train hard, we practice and we know our own strategy's, but we also scout others, adapt to the challenges and go into the competition we as much knowledge and preparation as possible.
So, my girls, I beg of you to do the same. We have an enemy, one who seeks to destroy us. 1 Peter 5:8. He's not just hoping we fall or hoping we doubt. He is actively looking to destroy. However he is not loud and boisterous, he sings us a lullabies and tells us beautiful lies. He is a prince (of this world) and he has had a lot more time roaming this earth than you or I, so I would say he's pretty good at understanding what weakens us.
Why I am sitting on this in only my second blog? Because, I prefer to engage a little bit of fight in you. I am a competitor, so are you. I am fighter and if you are not, I pray you stick with me until you are. He is a liar, the great deceiver. It should seem obvious right? That's just it, it's never obvious. He sings us a lullaby and we fall asleep to his lies.
Stay close girls. Stay close to the God who created you who is more powerful than he who is in the world.
1. Open that Bible and fight to understand
2. Pray when you don't feel like it
3 Ask for the truth, even if you don't like it.
Be Brave.
